It's been a long time....

It has been a long time since I have posted on this site. It's also been a long time since I read a young adult book. (gasp!) I know, I know. I am a high school librarian and I should stay on top of these things. However, I want to say that I have a wonderful assistant who does stay on top of the books and she knows where to direct the kids. My life at school has been so busy this year that I am soooooooo glad that we have 9 days off for Thanksgiving (and yes, I am counting the weekends).

So I would like to share some authors of the adult world that I would suggest to any reader....Diana Palmer (contemporary romance), Celeste Bradley (historical romance), Kasey Michaels (historical and contemporary romance), just to name a few.


Right now, however, I am reading the Paul Christopher book, Rembrandt's Ghost. I love the historical basis of his books and that the heroine is into art history and archaeology. Very cool! And the twists that the author presents....who knew? I must say that I truly accidentally stumbled over these books. I bought a book at Wal-Mart titled The Aztec Heresy because I am totally taken with the Aztec culture and how it is one of those that just seemed to disappear. Then once I got the book home, I opened it up and wouldn't you know.....there are 3 that come before it and of course I had to read those first and I have not been disappointed!
